  • "Hi Fraser. Eleanor is right there was no photoshop effect used. My D100 was converted at the sensor level to IR so no filter is needed. Exposure etc is TTL which is the beauty of doing the conversion. Using a filter to get the same effect makes it almost impossible to meter through the lens" Bob Steer over 2 years ago

Making the background black really helps in isolating the subject. Too bad it wasn't taken from the other side so that you could their facial view. The brush in the bottom left and center does distract and the is a tad on the warm side causing the artist skin tones to be off. Other than that I feel it is an excellent image. Well done!"
