  • "Theo - This is an excellent photo of the mallard. Capture of the winging in the forward position gives a lot of information about the flight paterns of mallards. The soft focus on the wings is appropriate to give the image a realistic, but not static, impression of flight. Maybe the head coould be a bit sharper.   • "this was done with two hotshoe flash. One in umbrella kit at left ans one with stofen diffuser at right bouncing off ceiling to try and get background out. This was my first ever experiment at lighting with hot shoe flash. I was kneeling down--therefor I may have moved when shot was done.Note for next time--sit on chair myself."
