  • "like the colour saturation and the simple lines." Paul GarnerInfo 11 months ago
  • "Good to see an overall shot of the location. Seems that this image is over exposed. If you use Photoshop, check the 'levels' and you should be able to provide more saturation to the colours." Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo 12 months ago
  • "Excellent! My eyes can feel the texture of the brick. the positioning of the sign makes for a nice horizontal balance to the vertical column." Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo 12 months ago
  • "I realized that must be one file only because the cromatics. For one file this is pretty good work. Congrats!" Sorin PetriInfo 11 months ago
  • "Hi Sorin, I did this from a single jpeg. Up until about 4 weeks ago I didn't know what HDR even stood for. I recently purchased Photmatix and have been playing around with it ever since." Jim SeatonInfo 11 months ago
  • "Beautiful and medium temperate HDR. I guess you did this from one RAW?" Sorin PetriInfo 11 months ago
  • "sorry jim I think the first one was sharper with more impact, watermarks and all" Mark HelmInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Jim, this is a great image. The perspective on the left feels a little off to me and seems to be pushing the image to the right. Otherwise, very well done." Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Excellent HDR effect, I like the gritty texture. Well done!" Bill NiessenInfo about 1 year ago
  • "wonderful colour and flow very nice composition top to bottom" Mark HelmInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Well...this is awesome! Keep doing that and post more to see them" Sorin PetriInfo 11 months ago
  • "great perspective and sharpness front to back" Bill BoswellInfo about 1 year ago
  • "No creativity on my part... just a very nice paint job on a very sweet '32 Ford" Tim WilsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Sweet ride ...was the graphic actually done to look like 3D or have you been creative here?" Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo about 1 year ago
  • "The glow from the sun is very effective. Great detail throughout." Bill BoswellInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Nice captire of the light rays, they don't often show up that strong. Great mood, makes me want to go for a walk. " David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I keep coming back to this image trying to decide why I like it and why I don't. I like it because the texture in the fence makes me want to touch it, I can see how it feels. The point of view is not how we usually see picket fences, low. The colour is very saturated which grabs your eye. The repeating patterns of the fence and the mountains adds impact. The image however looks contrived because of the sharp focus of the fence and the mountains so soft. The fence looks pasted on. I think I would darken down the background about 2 stops to emphasize the fence and its texture. " David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Fun angle Max. I agree with Mark. Can't wait to see more of your work here." Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Max, is this your first post, well done, keep them coming " Mark HelmInfo about 1 year ago
  • "A weeding? Sometimes typos are funny. :-)" Fraser McCrossanInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Yes, an oldy from a weeding I was shooting, you always have to stand aside so the Uncle who didn't get to shoot can demonstrate the proper technique." David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "that's hilarious, I can hear the seams ripping. Is this another vintage photo ?" Tim WilsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Thanks David, I'll see about some of the wrinkles, but I would like to retain the space at the top to keep the somewhat square format for the round balls" Tim WilsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Bold colours and repeating shapes all work well together. The wide open space at the and the irregular lines on top detracts from the impact of the balls. I would suggest a crop at the top and some clonig out of the wrinkles. The leading lines of the spool seams are good. " David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Jim I would suggest that some images like this you puit some black border evenly at the top and bottom of the image. As much as it is a beautiful image I keep waiting for the rest of the image to load at the bottom as it is all at the top of my screen. " David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Great flow, colour exposure and sidelighting. Very peaceful" David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Much improved with the blue foreground gone." David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I like the first shot, I see your creative prespective with a unique result. This is created, sort of a HDR style so popular these days. I don't fell any "you" here." Mark HelmInfo about 1 year ago
  • "thank you" Jim SeatonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Much more effective - good work." Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo about 1 year ago
  • "A nice view and composition, but the empty sky detracts. I might try to enhance (or dare I say "fake"?) it to be more interesting" Fraser McCrossanInfo about 1 year ago
  • "For what it's worth....I really like this one." Jim SeatonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Mark- Not a 4x5 took this in Toronto 3 weeks ago with the D50 and a 300mm lense from the stands, and am learning about masking layers" David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "well executed manipulation, sort of a vidio game team meets playing a real team (well sort of). Amazing what you can do with the 4X5 and some chemicals. Wish I had thought of it." Mark HelmInfo about 1 year ago
  • "WOW !!! Is that ever neat ! Even though I am not a big fan of highly modified images, I do find this to be very interesting with great impact. Maybe an exclamation point after ' TOUCHDOWN' ? " Tim WilsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "good color and and is just blown out enough to see trees at end. The perspective is different. A higher and straight on view may be preferred" Stephen YuleInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Exposure is well-done, this is a high-contrast subject. I'd like to see a slightly higher viewpoint, to see all of the far entrance" Fraser McCrossanInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I agree, the soft focus of the majority of the images is competing with the somewhat in focus left side. Care to share with us how you took this image?" Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Nice moody picture, nice that you resisted the light trails of car lights. The blue on the railing at the left competes with teh mood though, you might try to chjange the colour in that area." David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Port it is." Jim SeatonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Port Stanley??? If so,this is a shot of this porch that I've not thought of." Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I don't mind the red... but the swirling line thru the reflection tends to look like a flaw in the paint - which would make a car buff chringe. Nice composition and colours. Like that it's sharp but no overly done." Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I feel that the reflection on the left helps define the iconic shape of the Sting Ray, plus the red in the reflection echoes the red on the gas cap " Tim WilsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "very good shot--tough to get rid of reflection of other vehicles on left" Stephen YuleInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Red paint, or just from rust? :-)" Fraser McCrossanInfo about 1 year ago
  • "This would make an interesting poster for a car buff, subtle colours are great, hard to find a vette that isn't red. " David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "interesting lines and shapes, sharpness throughout makes it" Bill BoswellInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Great eye on the shadows and light.... i.e. the complete shadow of the rider and the main large tree on the path." Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Nice silhouette, it is the shadow of the tree on the path that makes this picture interesting for me." David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "neat concept--how many cakes can you eat should have been the title" Stephen YuleInfo about 1 year ago
  • "A good example of the use of Drost effect is Pink Floyds "Ummagumma" Record Album cover" David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I looked up the "Droste effect" so many different angles and lines here, that it wasn't obvious until I knew what I was looking for. " David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "This was shot while rubber rafting on a river I used my 100/400" Bill LloydInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Makes you want to buy an 800 mm. lense doesn't it?" David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "The B&W treatment really makes this image, great tonal range. The diagonals keep pointing to the other window and then back again to the other. It really contains your eyes." David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I like both of these images, very well done ! Maybe try to crop or eliminate the tiny little end of the next frond in the upper left side." Tim WilsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I wonder if you could sell her this photo? :-)" Fraser McCrossanInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I agree, the key line makes a big difference. I'd probably crop this as a square image. The position of the flowers form a lovely triangle that would look good in a square frame ... to my eye." Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Much better with the key line." David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I get the impression that the pitch is high and inside... it would have been a called ball. Great shot !" Tim WilsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I'll take another crack at this picture. Keep forgetting that this gallery has a black background and yes does seem to get kind of lost. " Ross Blakey about 1 year ago
  • "I wish this picture had a thin white line around the frame, teh background is so dark it just kinds of falls away and I don't know where to stop looking for things. Great texture and exposure of teh white petals." David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I can see why you took thisa picture, angles, lines textures etc. Just too many competing elements for me to focus in on one prticular pattern or texture." David RobinsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Not a fan of this one Jim. Highlights are blown out. Colour is flat. DOF makes the left hand side of image look out of focus as opposed to being secondary to the subject." Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I second Brenda's comments. Also, the tight cropping works. My only tiny criticism would be that you should try to crop the same distance from the helmet and the tire, preferably a little further from the tire." Fraser McCrossanInfo about 1 year ago
  • "The vantage point is very good. I like the soft background. The mist rising from the pavement really gives a sense of motion." Brenda Fee-PerkinsInfo about 1 year ago
  • "It is amazing what people will do with their pets. I do like how the dog's head seems to merge with the human head" Tim WilsonInfo about 1 year ago
  • "Nice catch! Pays to elbow your way to the front. :)" Fraser McCrossanInfo about 1 year ago
  • "good angle but focus looks a little soft on my screen" Paul GarnerInfo about 1 year ago
  • "I love the A-10 for it's purpose built pugnacity, great shot showing the distressed air passing over the wing" Tim WilsonInfo about 1 year ago
