Field Trips
Field trip information will be announced in advance via the website, mass mailings and announcements at club meetings.
A typical agenda for a Field Trip day is
- Gather at a common meeting place to share rides and to mix new members or visitors with veteran members to make new people feel comfortable and included.
- Travel by vehicle to the destination, and photograph for 3 to 4 hours after which we adjourn for lunch and a pleasant social time together at a reserved restaurant. We sometimes may extend the day depending on the subject matter and/or the desire of those who wish to do so. Most trips start early and end by mid-day.
The trips go rain or shine, as weather conditions may be different at the intended destination so please don't make a hasty decision. It is also good to learn to photograph in all types of weather. Fun and fellowship can be had no matter the weather.
Goals of the field trips are as follows:
- The most important one, HAVE FUN.
- MEET NEW PEOPLE
- SHARE PHOTOGRAPHIC IDEAS
- GROW IN YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY
We hope to see you come out and enjoy our trips. It is the best way to really get to know your fellow members.
